Romelu Lukaku of Chelsea, Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United, and Erling Braut Haaland of Borussia Dortmund are allegedly three of the five strikers PSG is eyeing. The Ligue 1 team is thought to have identified five prospective replacements for Kylian Mbappe, whose contract at Parc des Princes expires in June and whose future is unknown.
PSG would reportedly contemplate acquiring both Ronaldo and Lukaku from the Premier League in the summer, with Zinedine Zidane eager to meet the former should he take over as head coach in place of Mauricio Pochettino. Next month, Ronaldo will meet with his agent to discuss the possibility of leaving Manchester United in the summer and moving to Paris to play with Lionel Messi, an option for the 37-year-old whose relationship with Ralf Rangnick is rumored to be strained.
Regarding Lukaku, the Belgian has once more shown his unhappiness at Stamford Bridge. The striker wants to go back to Inter Milan, but PSG may make a play for the 28-year-old if he becomes available in the summer.
PSG is also keeping a close watch on Norwegian international Haaland, although he will likely face tough competition from several other top European teams, including Manchester City, Manchester United, Barcelona, and Real Madrid, for the player’s signing.
The final two players on PSG’s list are Memphis Depay, whom Barcelona is eager to offload in the summer, and Moise Kean of Juventus, who scored 17 goals in 41 games while on loan from Everton to the French powerhouses last season.
Harry Kane of Tottenham made it apparent that he wanted to leave the team, but Spurs’ refusal to agree to a lesser price prevented his €175 million transfer to Man City. The England striker stated that he would “remain at Tottenham this summer,” which may indicate that he is considering leaving in the future.
Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund is the striker that every club wants, and the 21-year-old will be available for around €75 million due to a release clause that goes into effect in 2022. However, other top players are prepared to leave their clubs for free when their contracts expire, including Paul Pogba of Manchester United, Paulo Dybala of Juventus, and Gareth Bale of Real Madrid.
